Developing insurance products and delivering them to the marketplace has always been a messy business. State compliance, location-specific risk characteristics, fluctuating financial environments and constant technology advances make change the only constant.

Companies that embrace change and leverage it to their advantage are finding ways to overcome the traditional barriers that slow time to market and restrict product customization. They have visionary management teams that understand the value of deploying insurance products with just-in-time response-to-market opportunities, and they are pressing to achieve this goal. Already, these companies are leveraging technology and process improvement to squeeze time out of the product development cycle and to increase product profitability.
