Aetna Names New Leader for Health Information Exchange Division Medicity
Aetna has appointed Nancy Ham CEO of its Salt Lake City-based health information exchange division, Medicity.
The insurer acquired Medicity in 2010. Ham replaces CEO Brent Dover, who has left to pursue other opportunities.
Ham last worked at Medventive, which provides performance analytics for accountable care organizations and insurers. Her health care experience includes time managing enterprise software and transaction processing for a number of companies.

“Our goal is to create a fully connected health care marketplace to enable better exchange and action on health care information," Charles E. Saunders, MD, chief executive officer of Emerging Businesses for Aetna, says in a statement. "Nancy will help us leverage Medicity’s leadership position to drive better connections and integration in the provider marketplace.”
