Insurer: Allstate (Northbrook, Ill.)
Carney's take: This is the app that blazed the home contents inventory frontier and Allstate's done a really great job keeping it fresh. I really like the fact that you don't have to be an Allstate customer to use it and get value out of it, and I find the ability to link photos and other content really valuable, like a bar code or serial number that proves that you really owned what's being claimed.
