The insurer, which provides P&C to active and veteran military personnel, expects the new system to help it streamline processes, implement more sophisticated rating, and bring products to market faster.
"Although AFI is in the early stages of the implementation, we are excited about the product features that ISCS brings to the table and confident that SurePower Innovation will enable us to provide better service to our customers and operate more efficiently," Drew Mazeitis, CIO of AFI, says in a statement.
AFI is implementing SurePower Innovation for 280 products in 51 jurisdictions across six lines of business, Mazeitis adds. Vendor and customer are working jointly on the integration using agile development methods.
"Agile allows for reduced documentation, continuous feedback, collaboration between user and developer, and faster speed to market," Mazeitis continues. "AFI follows an agile development methodology internally and strongly supports the process that ISCS follows."
