At Insurance & Technology, we always receive a fair amount of feedback regarding our editorial webcasts -- usually in the form Q&A submissions during the event or follow-up e-mails from attendees after the event has concluded. It's quite rare though to get feedback prior to the event.Last week I received an e-mail from someone who planned to attend an upcoming webcast I am moderating on cash management. The e-mailer suggested that it might be difficult to generate interest in a cash management webcast aimed at senior insurance executives -- not because its not an important topic, but because cash management isn't a topic that is on many carriers' radars.

From the e-mail:

It has been my past experience that very few insurance senior managers attend these kind of events. I work with them and they are so busy keeping the home lights burning that they do not look out side their base. If I am wrong let me know.

I will say that we have pretty good pre-registration numbers for this event but I'm still curious as to what readers think. Does the e-mailer have a point? Despite its benefits -- increased cash flow, better efficiency, cost savings, etc. -- are carriers missing the boat on cash management? Feel free to provide some perspective in the comments.

And if you're interested, here are the details on tomorrow's webcast, which you can register for here:

It's never easy to justify new technology implementations, particularly in this current economic climate. With their potential to both streamline operations and control operational risk though, cash management solutions could prove to be a very valuable and timely IT investment for insurance carriers.
