Washington, D.C.-based GEICO has launched GEICO Shortcuts, a Facebook application that allows policyholders to access insurance information through the social network's interface.

Users can pay bills and print ID cards directly from Facebook, as well as access deals from GEICO Privileges retail partners and rate pictures featuring the company's Cavemen mascots.

“Facebook’s dramatic growth has significantly changed the way people consume information,” Steve Smith, GEICO AVP for IT, says in a statement. “We’ve created an app that makes it easier for customers to get access to GEICO within the Facebook environment.”
