BEECHER LEAVING TRAVELERS TO BECOME GLOBAL CIO AT MARSH
Diana E. Beecher, senior vice president and chief information officer for Travelers Property Casualty Corp. (Hartford), will leave the company to become global CIO at New York-based Marsh Inc., Travelers' media relations has confirmed.
A Marsh spokesperson said that Ellen Clarke, chief information officer at Marsh since 1999, is no longer with the company, but declined to comment on Beecher joining the company, her specific role at the insurance brokering and risk management firm, when Beecher will join Marsh, or to confirm her title.
According to Travelers, no replacement for Beecher has been announced, but an announcement is expected to be made in the next few weeks.
Beecher joined Travelers in 1995 as vice president for technical engineering in the Information Systems Core Technology area, and was promoted to her current position in July 1997. Prior to joining Travelers, Beecher served as senior vice president of brokerage operations for SG Warburg & Co., Inc., where she managed trade processing and settlement.
