CRM BRIEFS

--> Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia provides members with AccessBlue, its Web site's online transaction service. --> Clear Technologies launches a Web site that provides CRM information for small to mid-sized companies. --> CRMI Consulting announces an initiative to target companies upgrading business processes and systems to improve their CRM approach.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGA, Atlanta) has introduced member access on its Web site. Members accessing the site are now given the opportunity to view their records through AccessBlue, the site's online transaction service. According to Becky Kapustay, BCBSGA's president and CEO, the Internet capability enables members to verify eligibility, check claims status or print a copy of an explanation of benefits. Additionally, the new functionality lets members change their primary care physicians and request new member ID cards. To alleviate privacy questions, BCBSGA reportedly exceeded HIPAA requirements in developing AccessBlue's security features. Data transmissions are 128-bit encrypted to and from secure servers. Each log-on requires a credentials check of the user's ID and password, which are issued by BCBSGA

Clear Technologies (Coppell, TX), a Premier IBM Business Partner and a Lotus Premier Business Partner that provides technology solutions for IBM's Middle Market eBusiness customers, has launched a Web site that provides CRM information for small to mid-sized companies. The site is segmented into three main areas: eServer, professional services and C2 CRM, which Clear Technologies developed to integrate sales, marketing and customer service into one operation. Additionally, the site contains links to other information sources, including Gartner, Aberdeen and AMR.

CRMI Consulting (Chadds Ford, PA), a project-based consulting firm with a focus on enterprise-wide CRM solutions, has announced a new initiative to target companies upgrading business processes and systems to improve their CRM approach.
