LUMENOS/EMPIRE DEAL

WellChoice Inc. (New York), parent of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, signed a multi-year deal with Lumenos (Alexandria, Va.) for administrative and technology services for a new consumer-directed health plan. Lumenos will support online member interfaces that access funds for routine healthcare expenses.

MANULIFE IMPROVEMENTS

Manulife (Boston) Private Account enhanced its online Financial Consultant Resource Center, www.manulifeprivateaccount.com, to make it easier for financial consultants to build their separately managed accounts business. The site now includes a new proposal generator and application builder.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Access America (Richmond, Va.), a provider of travel insurance, partnered with Revelex (Boca Raton, Fla.) to offer products through Revelex's Internet-based agent desktop application, Power Agent 4.0. Travel agents using Power Agent now can add Access America travel insurance to customers' trips.

EZCHECK, RDM TEAM

Check conversion and authorization firm EZCheck Check Services (Houston) teamed with RDM Corp. (Waterloo, Ontario) to utilize RDM's Web-based ITMS Client and Host Processing System for its new EZPayment Accounts Receivable Conversion service.
