Manulife has launched InsureRight, a site that encourages Canadians to inform themselves about their life and health insurance needs through the use of easy-to-use tools and calculators, according to a company statement. The site invites visitors who already have property to consider whether they have the income protection that they need.
InsureRight includes a "Quick Quote" feature for life insurance that uses a limited number questions to provide an idea of how much life insurance may be appropriate. The InsureRight Calculator gives a more complete analysis, reviewing life, critical illness and disability insurance needs, according to Manulife.
"We developed InsureRight to appeal to both consumers and our insurance advisors," comments Paul Smith, VP, marketing and product development, Individual Insurance, Manulife. "We've included interactive and interesting tools for clients to learn more about their potential risks and insurance needs. We've also added an advanced calculator that advisors can use to walk their clients through a full assessment of their life, critical illness and disability insurance needs."
The Quick Quote and InsureRight Calculators provide results that are detailed, but easy to understand, the insurer asserts. Along with the estimated amount of insurance, each calculator also provides a cost estimate and allows users to adjust the amount of insurance to see how the cost changes. The results also feature the cost for Synergy, what Manulife describes as its unique three-in-one insurance solution combining life, disability and critical illness insurance policies in one solution.
