Torus Insurance Announces E-Commerce Division
Specialty insurer Torus has created a new division, Torus eCommerce, to centralize three product lines that use the company's ESCAPE broker portal. The goal is to provide better service and capabilities to the wholesale brokers who serve small business clients.
There are currently three iterations of the portal depending on the line of business: ESCAPE Excess Casualty, ESCAPE Healthcare and ESCAPE Miscellaneous Professional Liability. The new division will streamline delivery and development of updates and products that use the portal.
Leading the division as head of e-commerce is Linc Trimble, who last was head of US Casualty for Torus.
“Torus’ suite of ESCAPE products provide the specialty coverage wholesale brokers require for their SME customers and the fast and easy-to-use automation brokers need to more efficiently and profitably handle their business,” Trimble said in a statement. “The ESCAPE system is revolutionizing the way small business insurance is transacted and the creation of a dedicated eCommerce team will allow us to further enhance and grow our online offerings for the select wholesalers we work with.”
