Utica National Selects edge IPK edgeConnect
Utica National Insurance Group (Utica, New York) has selected edge IPK's edgeConnect user experience solution to provide enhanced service to all of the P&C insurer's distribution channels, beginning with agents and internal users.
The edgeConnect platform will enable Utica National to configure and deliver a customized presentation layer to the company's wide range of users through web enablement of and mobile access to the carrier's IBM legacy mainframe, according to a vendor statement. Starting with the insurer's commercial package product line, Utica National will provide the agent channel with quoting, while also providing access and extended capabilities to the underwriting team. Future plans call for expanding the use of edgeConnect to deliver other customized user interfaces, according to edge IPK.
"We are committed to providing exemplary service to our wide range of users – whether internal or external to the organization, through the web as well as mobile devices," comments James Carhart, SVP and CIO, Utica National. "We were very impressed with the edge IPK proof-of-concept process and the edgeConnect product, and its ability to enhance customer and user productivity and services quickly and cost-effectively."
