Choice, SIS Announce HIE Portal for States
Choice Administrators (Orange, Calif.) and Social Interest Solutions (Oakland, Calif.) have developed a web portal that states can implement to front their health insurance exchanges.
Users of the portal will have access to public programs such as Medicaid, subsidized and non-subsidized individual and family programs, and small group coverage. Consumers also can investigate and migrate different plans or programs — for example, they canmove from a Medicaid plan to private insurance coverage — if needed.
The portal also includes capabilities to access food stamps and other assistance programs. States can “brand” their exchanges under whatever name they choose using the portal as well.
"As states look for efficient ways to organize, market and operate their exchange as mandated by Congress, we can offer state governments a turnkey solution that is flexible and configurable," Ron Goldstein, president of CHOICE Administrators, says in a statement/
