Aetna has launched an app for its international customers that allow them to upload pictures of their claims-related documents for faster processing.
Available for both iOS and Android devices, members can use the Mobile Assistant app to take pictures of supporting claims documentation, such as medical receipts, and submit to Aetna. It's currently available to international customers, but will be available to U.S. expatriates later this year, according to the company.
"At Aetna, we are harnessing the power of technology to connect our customers to personal health data so they can manage all aspects of their health, on their terms, when and where it suits them,” said Sandip Patel, head of Aetna International, in a statement. “Our Mobile Assistant App is one more way we are helping our global customers take charge of their health and health care.”
