September 17, 2008 Personal lines insurer Amica Mutual Insurance Company (Providence, R.I.), has deployed Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) ClaimCenter. The new end-to-end claims system for property/casualty insurance handles all new claims for Amica's auto, homeowners, marine and personal excess liability lines of business.

Amica implemented Guidewire ClaimCenter in an effort to upgrade its technology foundation and claims handling capabilities, with the goal of enhancing policyholder service, gaining more visibility into its claims operation and enhancing the capabilities of its claims professionals. Guidewire ClaimCenter assumed a major role in Amica's transformation to a completely paperless claims environment, and enables data sharing and receipt from internal and external systems. Amica currently has a total of 2,500 underwriters, support teams and claims professionals in production with the ClaimCenter system.
