High Point Auto Insurance, a Red Bank, N.J.-based carrier that provides services in the Garden State, has launched an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Available for free from the iTunes store and at the company's Web site, the app allows policyholders to access car maintenance records, upload photos in case of an accident, send reports to the claims department and find preferred mechanics. The company also has a mobile-optimized Web site with similar functionality for non-iPhone users.

"What technology offers us, and our customers, is limitless and I'm proud that we've been able to harness it. That's what being more than just insurance is about," Gerry Wilson, CEO of High Point, says in a statement. "This app's at-your-fingertips functionality is yet another step forward in making our customers' lives easier. We want our customers to know, 'Yes, we do have an app for that."
