CNA Adds Two To Commercial Insurance Management
Chicago-based CNA Financial Corporation has named Pat O'Connor SVP of its mono-line property unit and transferred John Beckman to chief underwriting officer from chief risk officer.
O'Connor had been chief underwriting officer for the large property unit at Liberty Mutual before coming to CNA. Beckman is in his second stint with CNA; he had been with CNA Re before service as president of ReAdvisory, an operation responsible for consulting services, including enterprise risk management, for specialty reinsurance broker, Carvill. In 2008, he returned to CNA as chief risk officer, a position that will be filled by Mark Verheyen.
“These organizational changes will further weave together our dedicated business units and line of business management,” Bob Lindemann, president and COO for CNA Commercial Insurance, says in a statement. “Both Pat and John have proven leadership skills and track records of success; and will play key roles in our continued building of one integrated, focused enterprise.”
