Dallas National Selects Valen Analytics Platform

Dallas National Insurance selects a platform by Valen Analytics for underwriters.

Dallas National Insurance Company (DNIC), provider of P&C insurance for U.S. construction workers, has selected Valen Analytics’ InsureRight Platform to make predictive analytics on risks associated with worker’s compensation policies more accessible to underwriters, according to a release.

DNIC will be using the Manage and Predict feature of the platform, which allows underwriters to access real-time information on pricing and risk analysis as well as see individual risks by interacting with predictive scores.

“We understand that using analytics is an important competitive advantage, especially within a difficult line of business such as workers’ compensation,” said Stephen Su, the chief underwriting officer at DNIC. “Valen’s quick implementation of its InsureRight Platform allows us to make an immediate positive impact on our underwriting.”

Valen is supported by a database of 20 million policies and combines predictive modeling, industry data, portfolio management, and business intelligence tools for consumers to improve overall risk quality.

DNIC offers general liability insurance coverage to artisan contractors, homebuilders, retailors, landscapers, and residential and commercial contractors.
