We’re looking forward to our presentation on the ‘Role of Social Media & Analytics in Identifying Insurance Fraud’ and separate discussions with IASA attendees to talk about how social media content has proven valuable for claims investigations, litigation support and policy underwriting for all lines of business. Unfortunately, much of this information is hidden from view, and by the time fraud is discovered, the carrier may have made payments that might never be recovered. The ability to mine and refine this content adds a new tool to the insurance carrier’s arsenal to detect fraud in a cost-effective and highly efficient manner, saving carriers millions in losses.
