First American Names Corporate Data Strategy Leader
Reflecting the insurance industy's increasing focus on data mastery, First American Financial Corp., a provider of insurance products for real estate transactions, has named Dianna Serio executive vice president of enterprise data strategy.
In this newly created role, Serio will be in charge of enterprise data and information management strategy across the enterprise. "She will collaborate with the company's functional and business leaders to strengthen First American's leading data position, data-driven product development and title risk management," the company said in a press release.
"We are very pleased to have Dianna at First American," chief executive Dennis J. Gilmore said in the release. "Her vast knowledge of title plant, real estate and geo-spatial data, and expertise in enterprise information management will greatly strengthen our position as a leader in title and real estate information."
This past summer, First American named former IT leader and Insurance &; Technology Elite 8 Jim Court president of its P&C division.
