LexisNexis Strengthens CRM Offerings Interface Software Acquisition

In a move aimed at providing a richer client relationship management offering, LexisNexis, a provider of legal, news, and business information services, has acquired Interface Software, the provider of client relationship platform InterAction.

In a move aimed at providing a richer client relationship management offering, LexisNexis (Miamisburg, Ohio), a provider of legal, news, and business information services, has acquired Interface Software (Oak Brook, Ill.), the provider of client relationship platform InterAction.

"For insurance and financial services customers this is going to mean access to greater resources available through the LexisNexis organization as well as a greater investment in the InterAction product line, increasing its exposure in the insurance and financial services sector," says John S. Lipsey, director, corporate communications, Interface.

Meant to act as a robust source of content regarding clientele and marketplace information, LexisNexis will combine its resources with Interface's internal content and relationship intelligence offerings. "What makes client relationship management valuable is the content that comes into the system and is accessible to users," remarks Lipsey. With this acquisition, the information pool provided to users should become deeper and more valuable, he asserts. "Consolidation is a natural trend in the CRM space," adds Lipsey. "It is a fractured market right now, and consolidation will continue so that strong players will survive."

All Interface employees will remain at the company and the count is expected to increase as more resources are dedicated to the InterAction product line, according to the vendor. "We view this deal as strategic," said Kurt Stanford, chief executive officer and president, LexisNexis Corporate and Federal Markets, in a statement. "By joining forces with Interface Software, we will enhance the ability of service professionals worldwide to manage their practices more effectively, and develop stronger and more profitable client relationships," he continued.
