Assurant Health (Milwaukee), a provider of major medical, fixed-benefit and supplemental health insurance products, has appointed Mike Hamilton as its SVP and chief sales officer

The subsidiary of New York-based Assurant> says that Hamilton will be responsible for enhancing and expanding the company's distribution capabilities.

"Mike brings a well-developed skill set and sales leadership experience that is essential for this executive role," Assurant Health CEO Adam Lamnin said in a statement. "Mike will work closely with our product line leaders to enhance our offerings and to help grow sales."

Most recently CEO of his own distribution and operations consultancy, Hamilton also has served as president of Nationwide Retail Distribution, CEO of Nationwide Securities and Nationwide Financial Network. He also has worked at Merrill Lynch, North American Financial Corporation and Jackson National Life.
