Stevens Point, Wis.-based Sentry Insurance has selected Toronto's Varicent Software to manage its internal sales incentive compensation processes.

Varicent's software will be deployed to 700 Sentry sales personnel, replacing a legacy custom-built compensation system that became too expensive to maintain.

"Sentry selected Varicent’s solution because it provides a very intuitive, rules-based approach to managing our complex sales compensation plans,” Rick Wittmann, marketing director for Sentry, says in a statement. “With Varicent, we will be able to offer our sales force increased compensation transparency; in addition, we are enhancing the sales compensation department's productivity and effectiveness, as a result of replacing old legacy systems and spreadsheets with the Varicent solution.”
