What Makes a Great iPad App for Insurance Agents?
AIU Insurance Co.
Tokyo-based AIU Insurance Co., a unit of Chartis Far East Holdings, used iPads to facilitate insurance adjustments and expedite claims payments in the wake of the March 11, 2011, Tohoku earthquake. Chartis's U.S. operations, headquartered in New York, procured dozens of iPads immediately following the disaster, hoping to leverage the device's video communication capabilities. AIU developed the adjustment software using Smart Attack, a cloud computing service provided by another Tokyo-based company, Going.com.
