Chris T. Calos was named senior vice president for distribution by Fortis Benefits Insurance Co. (Kansas City). His responsibilities include the distribution of Fortis' portfolio of products and management of the field sales organization. Calos previously was SVP and chief operating officer of the Protective Life Insurance Co.
Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (Branchville, NJ), appointed Kerry A. Guthrie, VP and senior investment officer, Gretchen Coffill Narvarte, assistant VP of Selective's account department, and Leonard V. Weinman, director of managed care services.
