FICO and Microsoft Team on End-To-End Claims Solution

The solution integrates FICO Blaze Advisor business rules management system with Microsoft applications such as SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

FICO (Minneapolis) is working with Microsoft to integrate the vendors' technologies into what a FICO statement describes as a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for insurance claims processing. Available now, the solution allows insurers to process claims on a single decisioning platform from first notice of loss (FNOL) through claims payment, resulting in more prompt and accurate adjustment and processing, the statement asserts. Suitable for both auto and general P&C claims management, the new offering integrates the FICO Blaze Advisor business rules management system into a platform comprising Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other components, according to FICO. Blaze Advisor automates decisions at critical stages of the claims process, including assignment of the claims manager and field adjuster, based on attributes of the claim. It also performs a basic fraud check to detect duplicate claim submissions.

Other Microsoft technologies included in the solution are Windows Phone for customer FNOL claims submission (via smartphone); Visio Services for Claim intake and photo and police report capture; Microsoft Silverlight and Microsoft SharePoint for claims process visualization and submission; Bing Maps for claims business intelligence ; and Microsoft Dynamics CRM/xRM for processing. The solution is available for either on-site or "cloud" deployment.
