FM Global Promotes President, COO

Both appointees have been with the company for over 30 years.

Commercial and industrial property insurer FM Global today announced the promotions of EVPs Thomas A. Lawson and Jonathan W. Hall. Lawson has been appointed president and elected to the board of directors; Hall will assume the role of COO.

Lawson will join the board of directors effective August 1, 2014. On January 1, 2015, he will succeed current CEO Shivan S. Subramaniam, who will remain chairman of the board of directors. As president, Lawson will manage the strategic and operational direction of the mutual insurance business, which he has served since 1979.

As COO, Hall will oversee the insurance operations and staff functions at FM Global. He has worked for the company since 1980 and will begin his new role on August 1, 2014.
