Gary Plotkin Named OneBeacon CIO

Gary Plotkin, former CIO of The Hartford's P&C company has been named CIO of Canton, Mass.-based OneBeacon Insurance Group. Plotkin succeeds Mike Natan, who is retiring from the company at the end of the month.

Plotkin was named The Hartford's chief technology officer in 2005. He moved from the application design role to the business-facing and architecture role in 2007, where he supervised line-of-business CIOs and managed the portfolio of the company's large investments in application development.
