Humana Military Launches Mobile Web Site
Humana Military Healthcare Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Humana Inc. (Louisville, Ky.), has launched what it calls the mobile Humana Military website for mobile phones and tablets. The company has made some its traditional website’s most popular features such as the provider locator and TRICARE eligibility check available through iPhone, Android, Blackberry devices, and tablet operating systems, as well as other phones with internet capabilities, a company statement says. Humana Military also provides an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone system, which allows text messaging to an internet enabled phone on topics such as TRICARE Prime enrollment payments and a link to the TRICARE provider locator, according to the insurer.
“Humana Military recognizes the rapid adoption of mobile devices, so we are responding by making new, innovative channels and platforms available to our TRICARE beneficiaries,” comments Dave Baker, president and CEO of Humana Military. “Our new mobile services provide much needed flexibility beyond traditional desktop computers. We’re excited about our new mobile web site, and we hope military users will find it very helpful,” Baker concluded.
