ILOG Releases New Product Versions
On Wednesday, ILOG launched new versions its business rules management system (BRMS) solutions that have been optimized and enhanced under the IBM (Armonk, N.Y.) umbrella, according to an ILOG source. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based vendor was acquired by IBM in January 2009.
The new offerings include IBM WebSphere ILOG JRules 7.0, the newest version of ILOG's BRMS for the Java platform. The JRules 7.0 release features improvements for managing and automating decisions in legacy applications running on mainframe systems.
ILOG has also released IBM Websphere ILOG Rules for .NET 7.0, which features the ILOG BRMS rules repository and the Web-based IBM WebSphere ILOG Rule Team Server environment. The .NET 7.0 solution allows for one-click deployment of rules as "transparent decision services" for use in a service-oriented architecture, according to an ILOG press release.
