2. Compensation by Gender
The gender gap seems to be widening at all job levels. In 2010 the median annual base salary for male and female insurance IT managers and staff were the same. But that picture is changing in 2012. The median total annual cash compensation for IT staff, including base salary and cash bonuses, was 8% higher for men than for women. In management, men earn 14% more.
