Insurance IT Salary Survey: Job Outlook Improving

Even as the economy has stumbled, insurers' confidence in growth opportunities has led to shifting staffing needs and slightly higher salaries for insurance IT staff as carriers resume large-scale projects aimed at increasing efficiency and improving the customer experience, according to the 2012 InformationWeek U.S. IT Salary Survey. 6. Rising Job Security

Respondents feel more secure about their jobs than they have in the last couple of years. More than one-third of staff reported feeling very secure in their positions, up from 36% in 2010. Among IT managers, 45% said they feel very secure in their current jobs, up from 40% two years ago.
