Lincoln Financial Group Names New VP & Managing Director Of Portfolio Management Analytics
Big data and analytics capabilities are reshaping insurers' approaches to their most critical business functions, and investment management is no exception. Accordingly, Paul Narayanan, who most recently headed Credit Risk Analytics for AIG Property Casualty, is joining Lincoln Financial Group (Radnor, Pa.) as vice president and Managing Director of Portfolio Management Analytics. He will be responsible for monitoring risk-adjusted performance by asset class to optimize the company's investment position, modeling of investment strategies and asset classes, and leading its credit risk measurement analytical framework.

"We are thrilled that Paul has decided to join Lincoln. Paul is a recognized leader in Investment Management and Portfolio Analytics and brings more than 30 years of extensive experience in quantitative analysis and portfolio modeling across many asset classes to Lincoln," said Ellen Cooper, executive vice president and chief investment officer for Lincoln Financial Group, in a press release.
Before Narayanan's tenure at AIG, which began in 2002, he ran his own consulting firm that provided credit risk and portfolio management solutions to financial institutions worldwide. Narayanan also is an author and frequent speaker on the topic of credit risk management. He co-authored "Managing Credit Risk: The Great Challenge for Global Financial Markets" and "Managing Credit Risk: The Next Great Financial Challenge," both published by John Wiley.
