Main Street Gains N’Site

Jacksonville, Fla.-based The Main Street America Group (approximately $900 million in direct written premium) purchased Urbandale, Iowa-based N'Site Solutions' Web-based software application NSolutionsv4.Net to enhance the claims turnaround time in conjunction with the carrier's new Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) ClaimsCenter claims processing system.

According to Michael Lancashire, VP of claims for The Main Street America Group, the carrier selected N'Site in January 2006 because of its ability to automatically assign appraisals to field adjusters via the Web, track appraisals, attach files to appraisals and accept appraisals in CIECA standard that are compatible with the carrier's claims adjusting programs, such as ADP (Roseland, N.J.). "We wanted to be able to track the appraisal process online, attach external documents to appraisal files and house them in one location to meet regulatory requirements," he says.

Main Street America accesses N'Site, which is hosted by the vendor, online. The carrier configured the login and authentication screens, built training modules, and then kicked off a pilot for its property and general liability lines in June. Enterprisewide training of the insurer's employees started in July. Currently, the carrier is building an N'Site interface for its claims processing system and hopes to roll out the system for all auto claims by August 2007.
