Career: Early in his career Uphoff was principal in a process control automation firm specializing in energy management. Later, he was CTO of Crum & Forster and helped spin off the IT organization into Apprise. Uphoff also was instrumental in developing the technology capabilities behind Chubb’s high-end Masterpiece program and has been an Accenture partner.

Education: Electrical engineering studies at Manhattan College.

Hobbies/pastimes: A former member of the musician’s union, Uphoff is an accomplished guitarist. He also paints and enjoys sailing and scuba diving.
