Vacaville, Calif.-based State Compensation Insurance has promoted Marjorie Hutchings to CIO.
Hutchings had been SVP for infrastructure engineering at State Fund, and now will lead the implementation of a comprehensive technology platform for the organization. She joined the company earlier this year after serving as VP of internet operations for Esurance from 1999 to 2012.
"Marjorie is a proven leader with demonstrated success in building high-performing technology teams and a consistent track record for delivering effective technology solutions for the insurance industry," said Tom Rowe, State Fund CEO and President in a statement announcing the appointment of Hutchings.
