Aflac’s LaunchPad app puts the Columbus, Ga.-based supplementary insurance carrier’s sales presentation — 46 pages on paper — onto the iPad. In addition, the iPad version allows dynamic media such as videos and calculators to be added to the presentation. The company reported that it gave 150 New York-area agents iPads loaded with the app in January, leading to an 18 percent increase in sales by mid-February.
