Indianapolis-based health insurer WellPoint has named Meg Rush VP of consumer experience and e-marketing.

She will be responsible for digital marketing, customer portal and digital strategy development, and will oversee consumer experience work, such as affinity programs.

Rush last served as VP of product management and design for WebMD Health Services. Previous insurance experience includes a stint as VP of the MyUHC.com Consumer Portal for UnitedHealth Group, where she was responsible for driving site registration and use.

"I am excited to have Meg bring her extensive consumer and digital experience to our organization as she collaborates with key partners to ensure alignment and delivery of a highly satisfying and engaging experience for members," Kate Quinn, SVP and CMO of WellPoint, says in a statement. "She brings the broad product management, strategic planning, and digital implementation experience needed to create tools that will help members explore and achieve new health care goals."
