Good point. It's tough to facilitate collaboration without a clear picture of the end result and how to get there. With a visualization like this, the IT and business teams can better understand their goals and work together towards them.

The graphic you posted looked like a journey map - something that I think is helping to drive better understanding between It and the business: The aspiration for the experience. This simple tool has helped the financial services industry to get comfortable with spending on innovation - because the goal can be easily articulated and understood.

One thing that was great was the different lines of business that were covered: Health, life, commercial and personal lines P&C were all represented. We are seeing innovative spirit across the insurance business.

Innovation progress
I really enjoyed learning about different insurers' approaches to innovation at this year's Summit - and the meaning of the word itself! Agree that it'll be interesting to see the changes that occur between this year's and next year's events.
