Oracle Launches Oracle Application Integration Foundation Pack 11gR1
Oracle has released Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 11gR1. The vendor asserts that the new offering will simplify and speed service-oriented development, deployment and delivery, and that partners and customers can leverage their existing application investments and jumpstart new application integration projects on Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g for increased business value and agility.
In addition to providing support for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, the Foundation Pack simplifies and speeds development of integration projects for business analysts, architects, developers, and application owners, effectively bringing the AIA programming model and best practices out of the documentation and into the toolset, an Oracle news release states.

The Foundation Pack 11gR1 also provides customers and partners with access to over 130 pre-built enterprise business objects and more than 1,200 enterprise business services, according to Oracle.
"Designed to promote rapid deployment, re-usability and configurability of business processes, Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 11gR1 saves time, effort and cost compared to building integrations from the ground up, while realizing the value of a sustainable, enterprise-class SOA," comments Michael Weingartner, Oracle's VP of Development for AIA and SOA Suite.
