Boston-based Plymouth Rock Assurance has added a feature to its online quoting portal that allows prospects to compare its prices or rates with other top insurance providers.
The company says its portal differs from other online quote comparison tools because customers will only receive follow-up communication from a single independent agent — not many.
"We have always viewed the incorporation of technology as a supplement to the personal touch, not a replacement for it, and these new advancements to our online portal will allow us to meet customer demands by operating with the technical functionality of a large national brand, while still providing the personal attention of a local company," said Keith Jensen, Plymouth Rock CMO, in a statement. "Maintaining our unique hybrid business model of teaming up with independent agents to provide expertise and flexibility, while still providing the online purchasing tools that consumers demand, continues to be a cornerstone of our organization and the further development of our technology is a testament to that."
Independent gents are also permitted to use the lead generated to contact prospects with non-Plymouth Rock policies.
