GuideOne Readies Core System Revamp with Innovation Group Selection

The insurer is also continuing a push to improve its analytics capabilities by implementing Innovation Group analytics software.

GuideOne Insurance, which provides P&C insurance for niche customers including educational, home care, and senior living organizations, has selected a suite of software from Innovation Group to continue its legacy modernization process.

The insurer, which won an SMA Innovation In Action award for its work with iPartners last year, will implement rating, billing, reinsurance, and other components of Innovation Group's Insurer Policy policy administration system. It also has selected the Insurer Analytics business intelligence, dashboarding, and analytics platform to support a growth strategy.

"Serving and growing our niche customer base with unique, innovative products and services are critical for GuideOne's personal lines business," said John Whalin, vice president personal lines, for GuideOne, in a statement. "Selecting a new core policy system with robust functionality and technology like Insurer Policy was critical. Their broader solution portfolio of Insurer Analytics and business process services set them apart. Equally important was demonstrating a culture of trust and integrity, a commitment to us as a customer and a business model that is a win-win for both parties. Innovation Group demonstrated this through the selection process and proof of concept and as we have launched the project. As we migrate from our legacy policy solution, we expect key benefits in improved customer experience, time-to-market, product innovation, operational efficiency, enhanced services and business intelligence."

GuideOne will implement Insurer Policy using SQLServer database and integrating with a third-party claim system, the statement says. Business and IT users will be able to configure and manage their business including data, workflow, rules, forms, rates and screens using the Configurator component, it adds.
