Madison Mutual Selects ISCS SurePower Policy Administration Suite

Regional P&C insurer seeks to streamline policy and claims processes and gain greater product speed-to-market with configurable rules-and-tools system.

Madison Mutual Insurance Co. has selected San Jose, Calif.-based ISCS's SurePower Innovation Policy Administration Suite to streamline and modernize the Edwardsville, Ill.-based regional P&C carrier's policy and claims processes, according to an ISCS news release. The carrier also seeks efficiencies through rules-based approvals enabled by SurePower Innovation, according to ISCS.

"Madison Mutual chose ISCS based on the rules-and-tools flexibility that SurePower provides," comments Ken Somogyi, director of IT, Madison Mutual. "We also found that ISCS will bring excellent industry knowledge and best practices to the table, which will help us meet our goals of transforming our business processes during the change from our legacy system. The technology SurePower is built on will also allow us to scale the system as we achieve the business growth we have targeted."

Madison Mutual expects the system to enable greater product speed-to-market, according to Somogyi. "Having a rules-based system will allow us to make changes faster than today, thus reducing overall time and cost," he says.

Madison Mutual will be the first ISCS client to implement the latest version of SurePower Innovation, which features a completely redesigned user interface, according to the vendor source. ISCS claims that the new user interface has quickly gained praise and acceptance from industry analysts, and that enhanced usability and user acceptance were key factors in Madison Mutual's selection of SurePower Innovation for this technology initiative. During the implementation, ISCS will utilize its field-proven agile development methods, including defined sprints and continual acceptance testing, to control project scope and support the highest business value result in the final system, the vendor says.
