Pacific Blue Cross Selects Global IQX

Health insurer seeks to streamline and enhance sales and service operations through leading quote and rating automation solution.

Burnaby, British Columbia-based Pacific Blue Cross and its subsidiary British Columbia Life & Casualty Co. have licensed the Global IQX (Ottawa, Ontario) software platform, including capabilities for online quoting, rating, proposal generation, renewal management and detailed reporting.

After a through evaluation process that considered the offerings of the leading quote and rating automation vendors in North America, PBC chose Global IQX as the best scalable solution to rate and service their diverse product offering, according to a Global IQX source. Global IQX's scope includes the design, implementation and testing of a packaged Rating and Quotation solution, and its associated processes for PBC/BC Life's Extended Health, Dental and Group Life & Disability Benefits. The project scope also includes extracting data for use in other PBC/BC Life systems, according to the vendor.

"Not only do we want to streamline and enhance our sales and service operations but it was important that the vendor we chose enables us to grow both our small and large case employee benefits markets," says John Crawford, Senior Vice President, Financial Services, Pacific Blue Cross. "We view our investments in technology as an important opportunity to foster stronger relationships with our customers. Given their significant technical capabilities together with Global IQX's reputation the fit as the solution of choice for Pacific Blue Cross became readily apparent."
