Sun Life Names Product Development Leader

The appointee will oversee enhancements to the Group Life and Disability product suite.

Sun Life Financial Inc. today announced the appointment of Alex Dumont as assistant VP of product development for its Group Life and Disability product suite. She will manage enhancements to Sun Life’s employer-paid and employee-paid offerings.

Dumont most recently served as assistant VP of product marketing at Standard Insurance Company, where she oversaw the Insurance Services Group product suite and handled traditional and voluntary dental, vision, life, disability and AD&D coverage. Prior to that role, she held multiple product management positions during a six-year tenure with Sun Life, including assistant VP of product management for individual solutions, voluntary and employee benefits. Dumont has also worked for Unum, CNA Financial and The Hartford.
