USAble Life Chooses SunGard iWorks

USAble Life has selected SunGard's iWorks product suite to build deploy, administer and sell group insurance and worksite products and provide a Web-enabled business environment to its clients and partners. The Little Rock, Ark.-based company, a subsidiary of Life and Specialty Ventures, offers Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan members life, disability, dental and ancillary health products.

According to a press release, USAble will use iWorks for group and voluntary insurance product administration, as well as financial accounting and reporting. The carrier expects the suite to help it process business more efficiently through automated enrollment, self-service portals, automatic payroll deduction and direct member billing capabilities, according to a press release.

SunGard says its iWorks Compass product will help USAble support client service, billing, collections, and claims administration. The Compass product, combined with iWorks Enterprise Accounting and Enterprise Filing Systems, will provide the carrier with a centralized financial repository in an effort to improve accuracy, track financial information in a more timely fashion and provide better visibility across its business lines.
