American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Deploys Content Management Products from Interactive Intelligence

The company is scanning and indexing about 10,000 files per week with AcroSoft Documents and AcroSoft ScanPlus, it says.

American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Insurance Company (AFR, Oklahoma City) will deploy Interactive Intelligence's (Indianapolis) AcroSoft Documents and AcroSoft ScanPlus products, according to a release.

The products are being rolled out company-wide, with more than 170 AFR employees using them to increase efficiencies and improve customer service, the companies said. AFR is using the Interactive Intelligence AcroSoft products to electronically scan and index about 10,000 files per week.

“The Interactive Intelligence content management products will help us reduce processing errors and respond faster to policy and claims questions,” AFR COO Ken Branham says in a statement. “We’ll also use the products to give our state-wide agents real-time claims and policy information. Since our underwriting information isn’t in our computer systems, we’ve historically been very dependent on paper files. Now the files are available at the touch of a button, making our work processes instant and more efficient.”

Prior to selecting the Interactive Intelligence products, AFR reviewed several other vendor solutions, including ImageRight and FileNet, according to the statement. Branham cited ease of deployment due to Interactive Intelligence's familiarity with the insurance industry as a reason for selecting AcroSoft, and noted that deployment was complete in five days.

Other companies deploying Interactive Intelligence services this year include Pharmacists Mutual, Rockford Mutual and Unum.
