CSC Releases BPM Offering to P&C Carriers

The system is powered by AWD, a business process management system built by DST Technologies and deployed by CSC at more than 120 insurance firms around the world.

Falls Church, Va.-based CSC has expanded its business process transformation software and services to the global P&C and general insurance market.

The AWD-backed system has already been implemented with several CSC life and annuities clients. It enables carriers to streamline and automate end-to-end business processes, including work, people and systems, according to CSC.

“Orchestrating the interaction of business processes, people, data and systems is critical for insurers to provide optimal efficiency and quality service,” Jeffery Schwalk, president of CSC’s Property and Casualty Insurance Division, says in a statement. “Not only is AWD a leading BPM solution helping insurers improve productivity by 25 to 35 percent, it is also the backbone of our global life insurance business process outsourcing (BPO) operations – where we provide industry-leading service turnaround for millions of policies and contracts.”
