David Zona Joins Fireman's Fund as SVP of Product Management, Commercial Insurance

Zona will be responsible for setting direction and priorities for various commercial insurance product lines and will have primary accountability for driving profitable growth.

David Zona has joined Novato, Calif.-based Fireman's Fund Insurance (a member of the Allianz Group, Munich) as president of product management in commercial insurance. Zona will be responsible for setting direction and priorities for various commercial insurance product lines and will have primary accountability for driving profitable growth, according to a Fireman's Fund press release.

"We are very excited to welcome David to Fireman's Fund as he brings extensive product leadership experience, gained over the course of a distinguished executive career in the financial services industry," says Lori Fouch, president, commercial insurance, Fireman's Fund.

Zona most recently served as vice president at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company where he was accountable for the product management and pricing functions of its commercial lines business, according to Fireman's Fund. Prior to joining Nationwide, Zona was vice president at AIG responsible for leading the product management function of a business unit dedicated to writing private passenger auto, commercial vehicle and power sports insurance through independent agents. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Fuqua School at Duke University, a master's degree in insurance and risk management from Georgia State University, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.
