Hastings Mutual Licenses CSC Data Model

Hastings Mutual Insurance Company has licensed version 3.0 of Falls Church, Va.-based CSC's Insurance Industry Data Model.

The model helps unify multiple sources of data across the insurance enterprise, CSC claims. It is available within the vendor's Insurance Optics suite of business intelligence products. Hastings is the first P&C carrier licensing it.

“We were looking for an industry model to help us gain a consolidated view of essential information from disparate systems,” Paul Ayoub, VP and CIO for the Hastings, Mich.-based carrier, says in a statement. “CSC’s Insurance Industry Data Model will be considered as the framework foundation for our expanded business intelligence solution to support critical functions such as distribution management, financial analysis and predictive modeling.”
